HIGHLAND ARTS THEATRE GENERAL AUDITIONS - 2019 SEASON

AUDITION CALL FOR MALE AND FEMALE ACTORS
(Ages 16 & Up with any level of experience)

On November 4th, we will be hosting Auditions for anyone wishing to be considered for performing opportunities for the 2019 Season at the Highland Arts Theatre. This is a general call to gauge interest and meet people, call backs for specific shows may be scheduled at a later date on a case by case basis. Anyone wishing to be considered for our 2019 Season should submit for consideration. (Winter productions will be announced on Oct. 24th)

Interested persons can choose whether they would prefer an in person audition or a video audition. See below for both requirements.

AUDITION DATE: November 4th, 2018 from 10:00AM to 4:00PM
DEADLINE TO SUBMIT: 11:59 PM on November 1, 2018

PERFORMERS OF ALL CULTURAL BACKGROUNDS AND ETHNICITIES ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO SUBMIT.


Musicians and dancers are strongly encouraged to audition - no acting experience required. Please indicate in your submission if you play an instrument or have dance experience.

We have several new directors working with us this coming season and we encourage everyone who is interested to submit regardless of prior experience. Selected parties will be contacted directly for an audition, or at a later date if invited for call backs for specific roles in specific shows.


IN YOUR SUBMISSION PLEASE INCLUDE:

1) Recent photo (professional quality not necessary)

2) Theatrical Resumé (if applicable - no experience required)


WHAT TO PREPARE - IN PERSON AUDITION:

If selected, you will be asked to prepare one Contemporary Monologue OR one Musical Theatre song from a show of your choice – pieces should be no more than 2 minutes. Feel free to bring an accompaniment track or sing acapella (speaker will be provided).

WHAT TO PREPARE - VIDEO AUDITION:

If you choose to submit a video audition, please prepare one Contemporary Monologue OR one Musical Theatre song from a show of your choice – pieces should be no more than 2 minutes. Please use a karaoke track or piano accompaniment in your video (if possible).
