This joyful & intimate concert promises to be everything we need more of right now, and more, with a night of classic songs about optimism from the musical styles of musical theatre, jazz, folk, and pop.

The show will run from March 2 to 13 and FREE tickets will be available to the general public starting Feb 22, with advance booking available to Radical Access Donors starting February 15th!

There's some hope on the horizon and we can't wait to share it with you all. God knows we could all use some right about now!

A NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOR:

This year has been a year of unexpected upsets, challenges, and misadventures. Everyone’s stress and mental fortitude has been pushed to the limit, and I know I myself have been balanced on the brink on more than one occasion.

When we found out strict provincial restrictions would be lifted in time for us to produce a March Mainstage production, we had only three weeks before Opening Night. We knew we wanted to do a show with music, featuring some of our incredible local performers who hadn’t been seen on stage for almost two years. But that was about it.

It was our Music Director, Barb Stetter, who said: Let’s do something hopeful. And with that, Here Comes the Sun was born.

We have selected a playlist of some of our favourite songs, carefully curated in an attempt to keep you smiling for seventy minutes non-stop.

Many of these are songs that got me through particularly hard times – not just now – but throughout my life. I only hope they can offer a bit of light, levity, and mirth to you now as we approach the one-year anniversary of the emergence of COVID in our province.

Though some storms last longer than others, we remain hopeful that the worst is not finally behind us and some solitary rays are beginning to peek through the clouds. No matter what weather lies ahead, we are so proud to share this beautiful music with you now.
