Love the Muppets? Sesame Street? Avenue Q? Now’s your chance to learn how to make them! From acclaimed puppet company Shakey-Shake and Friends comes this unique workshop where you’ll learn to build and manipulate a basic puppet character, in the tradition of the Muppets!

On day one, we’ll use some basic supplies to create a brand new character, one that you design and build (we’ll be creating a fully functioning mouth and a ‘half head’ using techniques that can be expanded into a full puppet build) and then on day two, learning the basics of puppeteering to learn to manipulate your puppet.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a basic, working knowledge of how to use rod and mouth (Muppet-style) puppets, as well as an understanding of the design and construction of puppets. And you’ll have your very own training puppet character to take home.
