ALL IN THE TIMING
SUMMARY
Whether you are on a first date, learning a new language, or assassinating Trotsky, one thing is clear: it's all in the timing. Warm up this Valentine's Day with this series of the best short plays by David Ives, including: Sure Thing, The Universal Language, English Made Simple, and more!

DIRECTOR’S NOTES:
Love. Loneliness. The meaning of life. We humans sure do like to ask the big questions don't we? But unfortunately, life always seems to get in the way: we've got jobs to do, food to cook, kids to pick up, snow to shovel...so we end up thinking about these big questions wherever we can. We think about them (often by accident) in the car, the shower, on the toilet, falling asleep, in line for coffee...what playwright David Ives has given us in these delightful plays is a chance to think about these things while laughing. Whether it's mayflies having an existential crisis, a gibberish language that somehow makes things clearer, or monkeys arguing over a typewriter, Ives is giving us room to think our big thoughts and feel our big feels with a smile on our faces. So thanks for joining us and please sit back, relax, and enjoy your thoughts and feelings. We sincerely hope it's with as many smiles and laughs as we've had putting this play together. With gratitude for all the warmth and hospitality this beautiful town has shown me,
-Tom McGee
