DREAM
SUMMARY
Life could be a dream in this fervent and funny new musical inspired by William Shakespeare's classic romantic comedy. It's 1958 and Johnny Angels run rampant, pursued by Runaround Sues. It will take more than Love Potion #9 to sort out this mess! A high spirited romp full of singing, dancing, and all your favourite '50's tunes!

Director’s Notes:
A Midsummer Night’s Dream is probably Shakespeare’s most famous comedy. It’s a fun filled romp about love potions, mistaken identities, and fairies turning people into donkeys. It also revolves around some pretty terrible treatment of women which is never really addressed, which makes it problematic for a modern production. The 1950’s felt like the perfect setting to preserve the fun (and include a whole bunch of amazing singing and dancing) but also address some of the gender politics in a small way that felt familiar (unfortunately, perhaps too familiar). The result has been an extraordinary amount of fun with a truly exceptional cast. We hope you enjoy our little Dream!
