As of June 11, 2020, we have been given the official go-ahead from provincial Health Officials to commence registration for HATCH Summer Day Camps in July and August. New cases of COVID-19 have been almost non-existent in the Eastern Region for almost two months now and we have re-designed our entire program with rigorous health and safety protocols to ensure the protection of all participants, staff, and instructors.

Things will be a little different this year with limited group sizes, mandatory social distancing, and an excessive amount of hand-washing, but we've been working around the clock to make sure everyone has exactly what they need to stay safe while having an absolute blast.

We're doing everything possible to ensure the safety of all involved, and we want you to feel secure knowing your child is coming to an environment that places their safety first. As such, we wanted to share with you our most up-to-date Operational Safety Guide for HATCH 2020 which has been created by our team based on the recommendations and requirements of Nova Scotia Health and Safety.

We're really tried to think of everything, but we welcome your feedback. This will be published on our website along with our registration and it will be a living document, updated as required by new Health announcements or our own discoveries and best practises.

It's a lot of information, so I'll let the document speak for itself, but please know that we've spent weeks putting together the perfect plan with an absolutely sparkling team of some of our favourite people.

There are four camps currently scheduled for July and August (listed below). Each will have three age groups operating in a different isolated area within the HAT Academy and HAT Facility (to a maximum of 10 participants per group).

Each camp will also have an online group via "Zoom" which will allow participants with extenuating circumstances or health considerations to still participate with our all-star teachers from home. This will also be a back-up option for anyone who feels sick during the camp and has to remain home while waiting to be tested or for anyone quarantining after returning to the province.

Because of gathering limits, we will not be able to present a "performance" this summer, however, each group within the Two Week camps will spend some of the time creating a 10-15 minute original musical performance which we will film on the final day to be sent to their friends and family.

I know this is a lot of information (and the Safety Guide has even more) so take your time looking through it if any of this is of interest and don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
